Stepes Launches Facebook Translation Service

Mobile translation leader extends real-time human translation to social media platform

San Francisco, CA and Beijing, China (July 7, 2016) – Stepes (pronounced /’steps/), the leader in mobile translation, has officially launched its Facebook translation service for clients in need of a global social media strategy.

The Stepes Facebook translation is an end-to-end solution for translating social media in real time. With the new API, Stepes users simply connect their Facebook profiles or pages, from which Stepes automatically extracts posts and sends them to Stepes’ network of more than 60,000 in-country human translators. The multilingual content is then reposted on customers’ official accounts. Users can set daily limits on spending and will receive a regular report on their social media translation for tracking purposes.

“Stepes social media APIs shift and streamline the translation process for mobile,” said Carl Yao, Stepes’ founder. “There’s no extra work for the client to obtain immediate, high-quality translation of their social media channels.”

Stepes has rapidly expanded its mobile translation services to social media. In addition to its Facebook API, Stepes recently launched a similar translation service for Twitter, which extracts, translates, and posts multilingual Tweets for customers. Stepes is the first to provide just-in-time human translation to address the fast pace of global information generation in the digital age.

“Near-simultaneous translation turnaround is increasingly necessary for businesses keep up with market demand,” said Yao. “Stepes combines the quality of human translation with the speed and ease of use of something like Google Translate so businesses can reach global customers through social media.”

Stepes’ mobile translation tools and translation platform allow it to deliver agile and flexible translation of large volumes of content. Whereas traditional translation software is overly technical and thus not easily accessible to many translators, Stepes’ mobile technology makes translation tools intuitive and free, driving instant human translation services to global clients around the clock.
