We are seeking an experienced Java Engineer based in India to work on the development and maintenance of the Stepes cloud translation management system. The ideal candidate will have experience with ElasticSearch, and the latest technology solutions like ChatGPT and other AI solutions, along with broad knowledge of machine translation systems, various file types, content parsing, and solid database experience. This is a full-time position, and the candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain the backend infrastructure of the Stepes cloud translation management system
- Develop software solutions to integrate with existing machine translation systems and technologies, including ChatGPT and other AI solutions
- Design and implement data structures and algorithms to handle large datasets for content parsing and analysis
- Work with the product team to improve the user experience and performance of the system
- Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure the quality of the codebase
- Collaborate with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration between the frontend and backend
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues and provide timely solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Java development
- Strong knowledge of machine translation systems, various file types, and content parsing
- Experience working with databases, such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra
- Experience with ElasticSearch is required
- Familiarity with ChatGPT and other AI solutions is preferred
- Experience with cloud-native programming is a plus
- Experience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
