Stepes is looking for an experienced and talented PHP Engineer to join our fast-growing R&D team to develop and maintain our cloud translation management system. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing PHP-based solutions that meet the needs of our clients, translators, and project managers and help drive the growth of the business. As a PHP engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the system’s stability, reliability, and scalability.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Designing and implementing complex PHP-based solutions for the cloud translation management system
  2. Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code to ensure reliability and scalability of the system
  3. Debugging and resolving technical issues to ensure smooth operation of the system
  4. Collaborating with team members to gather requirements and determine system specifications
  5. Mentoring junior developers, sharing your expertise and leading by example
  6. Keeping up-to-date with new developments and technologies in PHP to continuously improve the system
  7. Ensuring the security and performance of the cloud translation management system
  8. Leading the development of new features and functionality in the system.

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Extensive experience in PHP programming language and knowledge of popular PHP frameworks, such as Laravel or CodeIgniter
  2. Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies
  3. Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, such as MySQL
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code
  5. Proven track record of leading and mentoring junior developers
  6. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
